The Nucleus 24 - Equipped with 65mm Suntour XCR-DS-LO Air forks, easy to use 1x9 Shimano Altus gearing and super grippy Schwalbe Rocket Ron tyres, the Nucleus 24 gives little rippers the confidence to test their limits on the trails and get up to speed with more advanced riding.
This nippy and nimble number is alloy-built for a durable and dependable experience, while Schwalbe Rocket Ron tyres provide fantastic cushioning and comfort when their routes and runs get that bit rougher.
Vitus have spec'd the Nucleus 24 with a set of Spinner Grind forks. A lightweight alloy fork with 65mm of travel supported by an air cartridge. This allows you to set the forks to the child's weight allowing them to get maximum travel out of the fork. Traditional spring forks can be tough for kids to use and they can struggle to use all the travel. The Grind also comes with a full lock out switch allowing you to make the forks completely rigid for when your child is riding on the road or has a long climb ahead whilst out on the trails.
The Shimano Altus drivetrain is the perfect combination of performance and durability, with the Altus 9 speed rear derailleur, all powered by Altus thumb shifters. The 1x9 speed system is driven by a set of Samox cranks with a twin chainguard, with its lightweight alloy arms and a 32t chainring. All of these will ensure the classic Shimano reliable shifting and performance but keep you supported when battling the mountains.
Tektro M290 hydraulic disc brakes with a 160mm 6 bolt lock rotor on the front and rear, offering high stopping power for tracks that you might not normally hit up.
